About Us

David grew up in Vancouver, Canada and played music from his early childhood on. He took piano lessons as a kid, played guitar and wrote songs for his own band as a teenager, performed cover songs in pubs as a young adult and finally released his first album 'Hard To Control' in 2007. In 2013 he became a full-time musician with his original music, when he moved to Berlin and toured around Europe with more than 100 shows a year. All in all, he released five albums of music and was a finalist in numerous international songwriting competitions. You can learn more about David on his website.

 

Nicole studied International Management in a Franco-German program in Berlin and Paris. After finishing her masters degree, she worked for several e-commerce companies (Wine In Black, Mister Spex and MyHammer) and deepened her knowledge in Online Marketing (Social Media, Email, Display, SEA and SEO) and Product Management (Usability, Website Design, Conversion Rate Optimisation).

Nicole and David met in May 2016 at one of David's shows in a small coffee shop in Berlin, fell in love and got married in June 2018. When Nicole decided to quit her job to become a freelancer, she started doing a couple of projects for David and ended up becoming his full-time manager. In 2020, when the Corona crisis made it impossible for David to go on tour, Nicole and David founded the record label Renegade Soul with the acoustic pop playlist 'Call It A Day' at its heart to help independent musicians like David to share their amazing music with the world. ​
